All prescriptions, whether filled by Socks and Co. directly, via the online store, or via other channels require a valid veterinarian-client-pet-relationship. If your pet is not a patient of Socks and Co., or has not been seen in at least a year, no prescriptions will be filled or approved. Certain health issues require testing at regular intervals and this will be discussed should your pet be diagnosed with one of these diseases. Heartworm prevention requires yearly testing per the recommendation of the American Heartworm Society.

Please be aware that most online pharmacies are NOT part of the approved distribution channel for many medications. These pharmacies obtain certain products via diversion and there is no guarantee that the product is legitimate. It could be out of date or even counterfeit. For this reason, manufacturers WILL NOT guarantee product obtained via these pharmacies. Should you elect to obtain medications via a channel other than the Socks and Co. online store, we will provide a WRITTEN prescription for you to submit to the pharmacy. This allows us to maintain appropriate records as we cannot answer faxes from these companies and they will often call while we are on the road.
